The DF4 brings 4-stroke performance and efficiency to portable outboards. Compact and lightweight, the DF4 is easy to transport and delivers surprising low- and mid-range torque for quick acceleration.

Knowing that small portables like the DF4 get transported a lot, we set out to design this outboard compact and lightweight to make transporting easier. Not to stop there, we added features that would make its operation easy and more user friendly. As four-strokes, the DF4 outboard deliver clean, economical operation, and being made by Suzuki, you know it delivers excellent power, performance, and durability.

Powering the DF4, is a single-cylinder 4-stroke OHV engine with a large displacement of 138cm3. Its excellent mid-range torque combined with light weight results in excellent acceleration. Also, four-stroke operation provides the DF4 with greater fuel-efficient operation, less vibration and quiet operation while eliminating the need for mixing oil with the fuel, etc. This keeps your boating experience clean, pleasant and user friendly.

Equipped with a tiller handle that extends out from the long steering bracket. This design positions the operator further forward in the boat to provide better weight distribution which, helps in getting an inflatable to plane quicker. The outboard is designed to turn 90-degrees both left and right of center. This feature helps docking and tight turning of the boat while its 90-degree stopping points provide an easy to recognize reference of the outboard’s angle. With the tiller handle attached to the steering bracket rather than the motor itself, and the utilization of a large rubber mount inside the same steering bracket, vibration in the tiller handle has been greatly reduced.

Carrying the outboard is made easier with the incorporation of a large, ring shaped carrying handle. Designed with smooth edges and lacking any sharp angles, the large carrying handle offers plenty of space for both hands. A tilt up handle built into the backside of the engine cover offers easy tilting of the outboard. Pulling back on the handle makes tilting of the engine from the normal drive position to any one of the two shallow water drive positions or tilt up position a simple operation.

The pilot water hole is located upstream of the cylinder to confirm that there is water circulation soon after the motor is started. The pilot water hole’s water inspection tube is removable to permit cleaning of the tube and the attachment of an optional connector that allows freshwater flushing of the water jacket.

Equipped with a built-in 1-liter fuel tank for convenience and user friendly performance when portaging or rigging the DF4 to a variety of boats.

Have you recently purchased or looking to purchase a new Suzuki motorcycle, ATV or Outboard?  If so, Suzuki is a great choice. The quality, performance and durability of the products we offer are second to none.  While Suzuki’s production techniques and materials, as well as its standard warranties, are the best, today’s motorcycles and ATVs have become increasingly complex. In addition, parts and repair costs have accelerated as quickly as the technology itself. While mechanical failures are rare in today’s Suzuki models, you can protect yourself from potentially high costs for years after your standard warranty runs out by investing in an extended protection plan.

The Suzuki Protection Plan (SPP) can be added at any time during the Suzuki’s Limited Warranty period, so don’t wait! You can purchase an SPP from any authorized Suzuki dealer in Canada.  If purchased at the time of sale, the SPP works in conjunction to your Suzuki Limited Warranty (giving you additional benefits), and will continue to provide you top-quality protection for years to come after the Limited Suzuki Warranty period had ended.  Along with providing complete peace of mind, the SPP is economical, dependable and hassle-free. Should you experience an issue while covered by the plan, you can visit any authorized Suzuki dealer in Canada and the U.S. for prompt resolution and professional service.

Pricing and details are currently being developed and should be available shortly.  Should you have any questions or wish to obtain further details, please visit your local Suzuki Dealer for assistance.
