SUZUKI PROTECTION PLAN
Overview

Delivering Superior Fuel Efficiency and High Performance
With a larger displacement of 941cc for increased power and performance, Suzuki's Lean Control System for improved fuel economy and incorporating designs that are more compact and lighter in weight than the predecessor, the New Generation DF50A offers industry-first features to provide industry leading performance and reliability. During the 2011 Miami Boat Show, the Boating Writers of America presented Suzuki Marine with the NMMA Innovation Award for the DF50A's innovations which remains some of the leading features in its class.

MULTI-POINT SEQUENTIAL ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION
Suzuki pioneered the use of multi-point sequential electronic fuel injection in four-stroke outboards. This advanced, time-tested system gathers operating data from a series of sensors located in key areas on the engine, processes the data and calculates the optimum amount of fuel and air needed for the engine—all in real time. Boaters benefit with smooth starts, maximum operating efficiency, excellent fuel economy, and reduced emissions.

First 40HP DOHC Engine

Outboard Class Exclusive DOHC Performance
This is the only engine in the 50 hp class to offer DOHC performance, with four valves per cylinder, and an air intake system optimized for maximum efficiency in the high rpm range.

LARGE CAPACITY 19A ALTERNATOR
The DF50A is equipped with a powerful 19A alternator that generates approximately 11.5A even with the engine running at a low 1,000 rpm. Under normal circumstances that’s enough power to keep an assortment of marine electronics operating in most situations.

Timing Chain

Maintenance-Free Oil-Bathed Timing Chain
The only engine in its class to incorporate a maintenance-free, self adjusting, oil-bathed timing chain to provide increased durability and maintenance free operation. A new oil pump design makes internal oil flow more efficient, keeping moving parts better lubricated while using less energy. The combined reduction in mechanical loss throughout the engine contributes to better fuel economy.

SUZUKI PROTECTION PLAN

Have you recently purchased or looking to purchase a new Suzuki motorcycle, ATV or Outboard?  If so, Suzuki is a great choice. The quality, performance and durability of the products we offer are second to none.  While Suzuki’s production techniques and materials, as well as its standard warranties, are the best, today’s motorcycles and ATVs have become increasingly complex. In addition, parts and repair costs have accelerated as quickly as the technology itself. While mechanical failures are rare in today’s Suzuki models, you can protect yourself from potentially high costs for years after your standard warranty runs out by investing in an extended protection plan.

The Suzuki Protection Plan (SPP) can be added at any time during the Suzuki’s Limited Warranty period, so don’t wait! You can purchase an SPP from any authorized Suzuki dealer in Canada.  If purchased at the time of sale, the SPP works in conjunction to your Suzuki Limited Warranty (giving you additional benefits), and will continue to provide you top-quality protection for years to come after the Limited Suzuki Warranty period had ended.  Along with providing complete peace of mind, the SPP is economical, dependable and hassle-free. Should you experience an issue while covered by the plan, you can visit any authorized Suzuki dealer in Canada and the U.S. for prompt resolution and professional service.

Pricing and details are currently being developed and should be available shortly.  Should you have any questions or wish to obtain further details, please visit your local Suzuki Dealer for assistance.
