The Suzuki DF2.5 portable outboard is the smallest Suzuki 4-stroke to date. Weighing just 30 pounds, the DF2.5 is the lightest Suzuki 4-stroke motor ever built. Suzuki is also proud to note that the DF2.5 meets the rigorous EPA 2010 and CARB 3-Star Ultra Low emissions standards. A 2.5 HP single cylinder OHV 4-stroke engine, with 4.15 cu. in. displacement, generates plenty of power for small tenders and inflatables. It features easy-to-pull recoil starting with Suzuki Pointless Electronic Ignition. No battery is required for this remarkably simple and reliable system.

360 degree steering

The DF2.5 is equipped with a twist-grip throttle for easier operation from different sitting positions, and full-turn 360° steering, which is advantageous when maneuvering in tight places and also delivers superior thrust when backing. Operation is quiet and smooth, and the engine is water-cooled for increased durability and dependability.

Steering and throttle tension adjustor systems, F-N shifting located on the starboard side just where you’d expect, and an oil level indicator conveniently located on the port side for easy oil checks.

1.5L Tank

Equipped with a built-in 1.0-liter fuel tank for convenience and user friendly performance when portaging or rigging the DF2.5 to a variety of boats.

Removed from the boat, the DF2.5 is balanced, lightweight, and easy to manage due to its large carrying handle. The integrated handle is located on the back of the engine cowling where it also assists when tilting the engine. And there’s four-position tilting for matching the outboard with individual boat and operating conditions

CARB 3 start logo

Suzuki’s four-stroke technology squeezes more from every tank of fuel than a comparable two-stroke outboard. Four-stroke technology also delivers clean operation that allows the DF2.5 to gain CARB 3-Star Certification for Ultra Low Emissions by the California Air Resources Board.

Have you recently purchased or looking to purchase a new Suzuki motorcycle, ATV or Outboard?  If so, Suzuki is a great choice. The quality, performance and durability of the products we offer are second to none.  While Suzuki’s production techniques and materials, as well as its standard warranties, are the best, today’s motorcycles and ATVs have become increasingly complex. In addition, parts and repair costs have accelerated as quickly as the technology itself. While mechanical failures are rare in today’s Suzuki models, you can protect yourself from potentially high costs for years after your standard warranty runs out by investing in an extended protection plan.

The Suzuki Protection Plan (SPP) can be added at any time during the Suzuki’s Limited Warranty period, so don’t wait! You can purchase an SPP from any authorized Suzuki dealer in Canada.  If purchased at the time of sale, the SPP works in conjunction to your Suzuki Limited Warranty (giving you additional benefits), and will continue to provide you top-quality protection for years to come after the Limited Suzuki Warranty period had ended.  Along with providing complete peace of mind, the SPP is economical, dependable and hassle-free. Should you experience an issue while covered by the plan, you can visit any authorized Suzuki dealer in Canada and the U.S. for prompt resolution and professional service.

Pricing and details are currently being developed and should be available shortly.  Should you have any questions or wish to obtain further details, please visit your local Suzuki Dealer for assistance.
