At its heart is Suzuki’s 645 cm³ 90-degree V-twin engine, renowned for smooth, tractable torque, refined character and proven reliability. Ride-by-Wire throttle control, Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS) and a Bi-Directional Quick Shift System bring modern control and adaptability to the distinctive V-twin experience.

At the core of the SV-7GX is Suzuki’s liquid-cooled 645 cm³ DOHC 4-valve 90-degree V-twin engine, a powerplant with more than 25 years of proven performance behind it. Its compact design, broad linear torque and distinctive power pulses have helped define the SV series for generations of riders.

The engine pulls smoothly from low revs, builds strongly through the midrange and remains composed as engine speed rises. That accessible power delivery makes the SV-7GX easy to manage in everyday riding while preserving the responsive, engaging character experienced riders expect from a Suzuki V-twin.

For the SV-7GX, the proven V-twin is paired with Ride-by-Wire electronic throttle control, enabling precise response and integration with Suzuki’s advanced rider-assistance technology.

The Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) brings together electronic rider-assistance systems designed to optimize performance based on the rider’s skill level, experience and road or riding conditions. Each system can be adjusted to suit rider preference, helping create a smoother, more predictable and less fatiguing experience.

Fine-tuned for the SV-7GX, these technologies enhance adaptability and rider confidence without overwhelming less experienced riders, while giving experienced riders greater control over how the motorcycle responds.

Three selectable modes adjust throttle response so riders can adapt the SV-7GX’s character to their skill level, road conditions or preferred riding style. Mode A (Active) provides sharper response for sportier performance. Mode B (Basic) balances throttle response and stability for everyday use. Mode C (Comfort) softens throttle delivery for smoother, more manageable control.

The SV-7GX chassis is engineered to provide an ideal balance of agility and comfort across a wide range of riding environments. Its upright riding position offers a clear view of the road ahead, while proven SV architecture, refined geometry, and a low centre of gravity contribute to predictable, confidence-inspiring handling.

A lightweight tubular steel trellis frame maintains slim proportions and balanced weight distribution. Its compact, manoeuvrable profile supports easy low-speed riding and parking, while the chassis remains stable and responsive on open roads and winding routes.

SUSPENSION TUNED FOR COMFORT AND SPORTINESS

A 41 mm telescopic front fork provides 125 mm of stroke, while the link-type rear monoshock offers 129 mm of axle travel and seven-step spring preload adjustability. The suspension is tuned to balance everyday comfort with the precise handling character of the SV platform across urban, highway and touring conditions.

CONFIDENT BRAKING AND 17-INCH ROAD HANDLING

Dual 290 mm front floating discs with 4-piston callipers and a 240 mm rear disc provide strong, progressive braking, supported by ABS. New 10-spoke cast aluminum wheels are paired with Pirelli Angel GT II sport-touring radials for grip, stability and consistent handling across a broad range of road surfaces.

The SV-7GX features a more upright and relaxed riding position than the SV650, with the handlebar positioned closer to the rider and the footpegs set lower. A wide 740 mm tapered aluminum handlebar provides leverage and a natural hand position while helping reduce fatigue over longer rides.

The rider seat features additional padding and a carefully contoured shape, while the pillion seat is also thicker for improved passenger comfort. Seat height remains a manageable 795 mm, and the narrow tank-seat junction helps provide an easy reach to the ground without sacrificing long-distance comfort.

AERODYNAMIC DESIGN

Developed through extensive wind-tunnel testing, the bodywork channels airflow around the rider to reduce fatigue while supporting high-speed stability and agile handling. The compact V-twin layout also contributes to the SV-7GX’s narrow frontal profile.

THREE-POSITION ADJUSTABLE WINDSCREEN

The windscreen offers three height settings with a total adjustment range of 50 mm, allowing riders to fine-tune wind protection for different heights, helmets and riding conditions.

INTEGRATED KNUCKLE COVERS

Standard wide-coverage knuckle covers are integrated into the front cowl to help deflect wind and debris away from the rider’s hands while complementing the SV-7GX’s sharp crossover styling.

17.4-LITRE FUEL TANK

A newly designed 17.4-litre fuel tank extends long-distance capability while maintaining the SV-7GX’s slim, comfortable profile. Its narrow proportions complement the compact V-twin engine and support easy knee grip and rider comfort.

STANDARD REAR CARRIER

A standard moulded rear carrier adds carrying and touring versatility. Large integrated grab rails enhance passenger security and comfort, while the flat carrier surface and tie-down hooks make it easier to secure larger loads. The chassis is also designed to accommodate available luggage accessories.

The SV-7GX’s 4.2-inch full-colour TFT instrument panel displays a wide range of riding information clearly and intuitively. Riders can view speed, gear position, fuel consumption, riding range, trip information, SDMS mode, Quick Shift status and other key information through a user-friendly interface.

A brightness sensor automatically adjusts screen illumination to ambient light, while dedicated day and night display modes can also be selected manually.

Suzuki Ride Connect+ smartphone connectivity allows compatible iOS and Android devices to connect to the SV-7GX by Bluetooth. Turn-by-turn navigation, incoming notifications, weather information and traffic alerts can be displayed through the TFT interface.

The smartphone app also provides access to useful ride and vehicle information, including trip history, fuel consumption, maintenance information and the motorcycle’s last recorded parking location. A conveniently positioned USB-C port provides 5V/3A output for compatible electronic equipment.

The SV-7GX expresses Suzuki’s crossover identity with bold, refined and sporty styling inspired by the GSX-S1000GX. Sharp, flowing lines combine the athletic character of a sportbike with a confident crossover stance.

A dynamic half cowl features a sharp, protruding nose, compact LED projector headlight and slim LED position lights that create a focused front-end expression. The semi-matte trellis frame, sculpted side panels and narrow proportions reinforce the SV-7GX’s balance of agility, comfort and road presence.
