Perfectly Poised. The Hayabusa.
The Suzuki Hayabusa is renowned for its abundant power, agility and commanding presence. For more than two decades, it has defined the Ultimate Sport Bike category it helped create, building a reputation for exceptional performance and unmistakable character.
Today, the latest generation of Hayabusa carries that legacy forward with an enhanced riding experience, smoother power delivery and nimbler handling. A comprehensive suite of advanced electronic systems helps optimize performance while making the motorcycle more controllable, predictable and reliable.
All of this performance and technology is wrapped in the Hayabusa’s unmistakable design, combining breathtaking style, aerodynamic presence and refined grace in a package built to turn heads.

New Special Edition Hayabusa!
The Special Edition 2027 Hayabusa comes in a gorgeous Pearl Vigor Blue colour and includes a 3D Suzuki emblem and special edition emblem on the fuel tank. An anodized muffler end and heat guard add to the aesthetics of this Special Edition. Updates to the 2027 Hayabusa include changes to the settings for the Launch Control System, changes to the settings for the Power Mode Selector, making the torque in the low throttle range more distinct, and a continuation of the change made in 2025 to allow the Smart Cruise Control to remain active during gear shifts.

Poised and ready to fly
The sleek, aerodynamic silhouette is unmistakably that of the Hayabusa. But the modern look of its styling and luxurious attention to the finest details say it’s a whole lot more. True to its design concept, “The Refined Beast,” the Hayabusa’s long, low stance screams of the power, performance, poise and keen perceptive abilities possessed by a bird of prey.

Gorgeous From Any Angle
With an upswept tail and mufflers lending to the aggressive stance of its mass-forward image, this Hayabusa appears to be poised and ready to take flight on an exciting ride. The mufflers take on colouring unique to your riding style over time, adding a personal touch to your Hayabusa. Splashes of colour and chrome accents contrast blacked-out panel sections to create a visual impression of the incredible performance potential waiting to be tapped.
Even the English and Japanese logos speak of speed. The Hayabusa. It’s a true tour de force.Aerodynamic performance is critically important on a motorcycle capable of reaching top speeds nearing 300km/h. Extensive wind tunnel testing, full use of the latest CAE tools and years of experience all contribute to achieving refined styling by which the rider and bike become one wind-cutting beast. The Hayabusa features one of the best drag coefficients found on any street legal motorcycle, while also achieving excellent CdA and lift values to maximize top speed potential and stability at top speed. By any measure, ultimate performance is what the Hayabusa is all about.

Optimum power, durability and control
Though the engine is already renowned for its durability and longevity, the following refinements aim to take it to another level. The pistons and connecting rods reduce the weight of moving parts within the engine. Changes to the crankshaft oil passages improve engine lubrication. The transmission shaft needle bearings are extended in length. Attention to detail goes as far as changing the way the engine case bolts are tightened, and even to the threading for the screw holes in the upper crankcase.
The pistons and Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber (TSCC) design fully leverage advances in CAE analysis to bring in more air as the valves begin to lift and thereby increase combustion efficiency. Suzuki Side Feed Injectors (S-SFI) feature a dual injector design that positions the secondary injector so its spray strikes a reflecting plate in the funnel and enters the combustion chamber as a fine mist. This combines with the increased capacity of an air cleaner and longer intake pipe design to optimize low- to mid-range power output and make the Hayabusa more controllable in typical daily riding situations.
Suzuki’s ride-by-wire throttle control system provides natural response with linear control, while a related change to a 43mm bore size for the throttle bodies boosts low- and mid-range power output. Also helping to improve performance and controllability at the most commonly used low- to mid-range speeds are the engine’s reduced valve lift overlap and a pipe on the exhaust header connecting cylinders #1 and #4.

The beauty of fine instrumentation
Riders love the familiar layout and outstanding functionality of Hayabusa’s instrument cluster. Now it benefits from a number of carefully considered touches that make its functional brilliance shine even brighter. Bigger, bolder numbering on the analogue tach and speedometer improve readability, as do the backlit raised scale markings around the periphery. One standout item is the TFT LCD panel mounted in the centre. In addition to the current SDMS-α systems settings, it features an Active Data display that enhances the ride by offering a bird’s-eye view of the bike’s current operating status. This includes real-time display of the lean angle (with peak-hold function), front and rear brake pressure, rate of acceleration, and throttle position.

Lighting your way in style
The Hayabusa’s vertically stacked low beam and projector-type high beam headlights adopt LEDs. The distinctive signature of their lighting pattern provides clear illumination at night and makes the Hayabusa highly visible to pedestrians and other traffic. Position lights with integrated turn signals*, a first on a Suzuki motorcycle, neatly flank the outer edges of the large SRAD air intakes. In the rear, a bold LED taillight and rear turn signal design create a single wide, sharp accent running horizontally across the bottom of the tail section.

SDMS-α for a smarter, surer ride
Suzuki Drive Mode Selector Alpha (SDMS-α) groups together five advanced electronic control systems while enabling riders to select individual settings for each. It optimizes performance characteristics and behaviour to best suit varying road surfaces, riding conditions and preferred riding styles. Experiment with the different settings and benefit from the feedback each offers to hone your riding skills and build greater confidence while enjoying the ultimate riding experience. In addition to three factory presets, (A, B, C), SDMS-α offers a choice between three user-defined groups of settings (U1, U2, U3). Modes and settings can be changed using switches on the left handlebar and the current settings are displayed on the TFT LCD panel located in the centre of the instrument cluster.

IMU
A 6-axis, Bosch IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) combines accelerometers and gyroscopes in a single compact package that constantly monitors pitch (forward or backward tilt), roll (leaning from side to side), and yaw (turning in relation to initial direction). These measurements are compared against one another as well as readings from wheel speed sensors to keep the Hayabusa aware of its situation at all times and realize several of the advanced S.I.R.S. controls.

Bi-directional Quick Shift System
The Suzuki Hayabusa’s Quick Shift system allows riders to shift up or down more quickly and easily without operating the clutch or throttle. Two selectable modes let riders tailor shift response to their preference: Mode 1 reacts more quickly for a racing-style response, while Mode 2 provides a lighter touch.
To help ensure smooth shifting, the ECM retards ignition when accelerating or maintaining a steady speed and opens the throttle valve when decelerating. The assist & slipper clutch further enhances shift performance for even smoother gear changes.

Anti-lift Control System
The Suzuki Hayabusa’s Lift Control System is designed to maximize acceleration performance while helping prevent the front wheel from lifting off the ground. When activated, the system offers 10 selectable modes, allowing riders to choose the level of intervention that best suits their preference.
Mode 1 provides minimal control, while Mode 10 delivers the highest level of intervention, making it virtually impossible to lift the front wheel even when fully opening the throttle with a passenger on the back.

Engine Brake Control System
The Suzuki Hayabusa’s Engine Brake Control system helps reduce the effects of engine braking to suppress rear tire sliding or skipping, resulting in smoother and more controllable behaviour.
Riders can choose from three modes, plus an OFF setting, to adjust the effective strength of engine braking based on riding conditions or personal preference.

Motion Track Traction Control System
The Suzuki Hayabusa’s Motion Track Traction Control System uses data from the IMU to continuously monitor lean angle and help limit wheel slip both in corners and on straightaways. By enhancing stability across varying riding conditions, the system helps provide more confident control while reducing rider stress and fatigue.
Riders can choose from 10 traction control settings or turn the system off when preferred. Higher-numbered modes engage traction control more quickly and take a more proactive approach to limiting wheel spin.
Note: The Motion Track Traction Control System is not a substitute for rider throttle control. It cannot prevent loss of traction caused by excessive speed when entering a turn and/or applying the brakes, nor can it prevent the front wheel from losing grip.

Poised for Performance
The Suzuki Hayabusa features a comprehensive suite of advanced electronic controls through the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), extending well beyond the functions of SDMS-α. Each system is designed to enhance convenience, build rider confidence and optimize performance to suit changing riding conditions and rider needs.
Together, these technologies help make the Hayabusa more controllable and predictable, creating a stronger sense of connection between rider and machine while allowing you to explore the full potential of the Ultimate Sport Bike.

Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) Launch Control
The Suzuki Hayabusa’s Launch Control system is designed to deliver efficient acceleration from a standing start, providing a launch experience similar to the way racers leave the starting line. Three selectable modes allow riders to match the engine speed at launch to their level of experience or confidence.
Mode 1 limits engine speed at launch to 4,000 rpm, Mode 2 operates at 6,000 rpm, and Mode 3 — the fastest setting — operates at 8,000 rpm.

Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) Cruise Control System
The Suzuki Hayabusa’s Cruise Control system helps reduce fatigue on long rides by allowing the rider to maintain a set speed without operating the throttle. Using the mode/set switch on the left handlebar, the cruising speed can be easily adjusted up or down and set between 31 km/h and 200 km/h while riding at 2,000 to 7,000 rpm in second gear or higher.
A convenient resume function re-engages Cruise Control after braking and smoothly accelerates the Hayabusa back to the most recently selected speed setting.

Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) Motion Track Brake System
The Suzuki Hayabusa’s cornering ABS combines vehicle posture data from the IMU with front and rear wheel speed sensor data to enable ABS activation not only while riding in a straight line, but also when leaning into a corner. This helps reduce the tendency for the motorcycle to stand upright or lose traction under braking, allowing it to better maintain its radius and lean angle while following the rider’s intended line through the corner.
Note: ABS is not designed to shorten braking distance. Always ride at a safe speed for the road and weather conditions, including when cornering.

Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) Active Speed Limiter
The Suzuki Hayabusa’s speed limiter system lets you set a maximum speed you do not wish to exceed, while still allowing you to accelerate and decelerate freely up to that selected limit. A first in the motorcycle industry, the system helps reduce concerns about unintentionally exceeding your chosen speed.

Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) Slope Dependent Control System
The Suzuki Hayabusa’s downhill braking control system monitors the motorcycle’s posture and angle to help prevent rear wheel lift. Using ABS to control brake pressure, the system compensates when braking while travelling downhill to help maintain greater stability and control.
Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) Hill Hold Control System
Suzuki Hayabusa Hill Hold Control is designed to automatically engage the rear brake for up to 30 seconds after the motorcycle comes to a stop while facing uphill on an incline, even when the rider releases the brake lever or pedal. This helps provide a smoother, more confident restart by reducing the risk of the bike rolling backward.
Hill Hold Control can be disengaged by quickly squeezing the front brake lever twice or by accelerating to pull away from a standing start.

Brembo Stylema® front brake calipers
The Suzuki Hayabusa is equipped with Brembo Stylema® front brake calipers, designed for high-performance motorcycles. Their lighter, more compact and carefully sculpted design increases airflow around the brake pads, helping them cool more quickly while delivering immediate braking response.
The Brembo Stylema® calipers are paired with 320 mm front brake discs, increased from 310 mm, and feature a hole pattern that further helps optimize cooling efficiency.

Exclusively designed Bridgestone tires
Suzuki worked closely with Bridgestone for years to develop the BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S22 tires specifically to meet the performance needs of the Hayabusa. These tires deliver improved dry grip, strong performance in wet conditions, greater all-round traction and enhanced agility, while maintaining a high level of durability.
With a specialized compound and construction, the BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S22 tires provide a noticeable difference in straight-line stability and cornering grip, helping create a more exciting and confidence-inspiring riding experience. The tires are mounted on distinctive 7-spoke wheels that not only enhance the Hayabusa’s appearance, but also help improve grip feel.

The Perfect Marriage of Power and Poise
Superior core strength
The Suzuki Hayabusa chassis is designed to provide sure footing, nimble handling and predictable control, helping build rider confidence and enhance the overall riding experience. It delivers a smooth, comfortable ride by absorbing irregularities in the road surface while responding faithfully to rider input. The chassis also helps transfer the abundant power of the Hayabusa’s legendary powerplant to the pavement, while fully leveraging its onboard intelligent control systems for effective acceleration and braking, whether barrelling down a straight section of road or leaning through corners.
At the heart of the Hayabusa chassis is its tried-and-true twin-spar aluminum frame and swingarm. During development, Suzuki built and track-tested a number of different prototype frames before retaining the proven combination of extruded aluminum sections and aluminum castings. This construction provides the right balance of suppleness and strength within the rigid alloy frame structure.
Although extruded aluminum sections are more costly and demanding to fabricate, they help achieve the overall balance required by a machine designed to deliver ultimate performance and reach a nominal top speed of 299 km/h. This same focus on strength, rigidity and weight balance is why extruded aluminum frame members can also be found on a number of supercars.
Optimized Suspension
The fully adjustable KYB suspension system is engineered to deliver a smooth, stable ride with optimum grip at all speeds. Up front, KYB inverted cartridge forks provide 120 mm of front wheel travel and feature a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating on the 43 mm outer-diameter inner fork tubes to reduce friction and improve response to small irregularities in the road surface. Spring preload, compression damping and rebound damping are all fully adjustable.
The internal fork structure has also been upgraded to better absorb road surface irregularities, helping provide an even smoother, more stable ride. At the rear, the internal structure of the fully adjustable KYB link-type suspension has been revised to maximize comfort and straight-line stability. Front and rear suspension settings are optimized to deliver a stable ride with a neutral feel at all speeds.
SRAD - Suzuki Ram Air System
The Suzuki Ram Air-Direct (SRAD) air intakes are positioned close to the centreline of the fairing nose – the position offering optimum intake efficiency. This results in better intake efficiency, increasing engine power in high speed. * The technology is used in GSX-R1000, 750, 600 and Hayabusa.
SCAS - Suzuki Clutch Assist System
Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) - a back-torque-limiting clutch helps make downshifts smoother, assists the rider in taking control in deceleration. Ramped engagement cams built into the clutch hub decrease force on the clutch plates under deceleration by pushing up against the pressure plate, allowing the plates to slip at a controlled rate.
SDMS - Suzuki Drive Mode Selector
Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) system allows the rider to select one of three fuel injection and ignition system maps (2 maps in the case of GSX-R750/600), adjusting power delivery to suit personal preference in various riding situations, such as different racetracks or tight, twisty roads. Selecting and switching between mode settings is by a switch on the handlebar; the selected mode setting is displayed on the tachometer. The feature helps the rider to enjoy the performance in a wider range of riding situations. * The technology is used in GSX-R1000, 750, 600, DL1050 and Hayabusa.
SET - Suzuki Exhaust Tuning
Suzuki Exhaust Tuning (SET) system, which uses a servo-controlled butterfly valve to modify back pressure and tune the pipe to match engine rpm. At lower rpm, the valve closes, increasing back pressure and improving low-end torque. The valve progressively opens as engine speed increases, reducing back pressure and increasing mid-range and high-rpm power.
ABS - Anti-Lock Braking System
An electrically controlled Antilock Brake System (ABS) that produces stable braking force under various road surface conditions. The system helps avoid wheel locking when there is a sudden change in road surface during braking or when an excessive braking force is applied. The system monitors wheel speed 50 times per wheel rotation and matches stopping power to available traction. * Depending on road surface conditions, such as wet, loose, or uneven roads, braking distance for an ABS equipped vehicle may be longer than for a vehicle not equipped with ABS. ABS cannot prevent wheel skidding caused by braking while cornering. Please drive carefully and do not overly rely on ABS.
