A slim profile, low 785 mm seat height and relaxed upright riding position help make the 2027 SV-7S comfortable and easy to manage, while its lightweight trellis frame and carefully tuned suspension provide the agility and stability that have long defined the SV family.
Modern technology adds another layer of confidence and convenience. Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) features including selectable ride modes, traction control, Low RPM Assist and a bi-directional quick shift system help tailor the riding experience to the road, the conditions and your riding style. The SV-7S’s visual language conveys agility, the clean lines of sophisticated simplicity, and the riding fun of a sporty V-twin naked design. Signature character lines define its taut, athletic, yet inviting form, while the trellis frame helps convey visual balance and agility. V-Twin Engine
The beating heart of the SV-7S is Suzuki’s legendary liquid-cooled 645 cm³ DOHC V-twin engine. Updated and refined for today’s needs, the engine is fully ready to meet all the demands of modern street riding while preserving its distinctive, character-rich power pulses and pleasing engine note.
The SV-7S’s 4-valve 90° DOHC V-twin engine delivers strong, accessible power across its rev range. Smooth low-end pull builds into a surging midrange, with composed performance at higher rpm. This balance of torque, refinement, and versatility makes it equally confident in city traffic as on open highways or circuits.
Dual Iridium Spark Plugs
Dual iridium spark plugs per cylinder provide more precise ignition and efficient combustion for smoother power delivery and cleaner emissions.
Downdraft Intake Layout
The SV-7S adopts a downdraft-style intake layout that positions the air cleaner box directly beneath the fuel tank. This design frees space in the seat area, enabling a lower seat height and a slimmer profile where the rider straddles the bike.

You can freely change settings and fine-tune control to suit your riding needs at any given moment. Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS)
Choose freely among three different power output characteristic modes. Each mode adjusts throttle response, instantly tailoring the SV-7S’s character to suit your skill level, road conditions, and your mood for a more confident ride.
Mode A: Provides sharper, more aggressive throttle response for sportier riding performance and a feeling of power that surpasses that felt on the SV650.
Mode B: Achieves a careful balance of throttle response and overall stability to optimize performance for everyday use in a wide range of road conditions.
Mode C: Softened throttle delivery, gentler torque characteristics, and limited output improve controllability and ease of use to provide less experienced riders greater confidence.

Optimized for real-world usability across a wide range of riding environments, The SV-7S chassis has been engineered to provide an ideal balance of agility, stability and comfort. Its bold, upright riding position not only offers a clear view of the road ahead, it also ensures comfort on longer rides.
Chassis
The SV-7S’s lightweight perimeter-style trellis frame retains the hallmark rigidity, slim profile, and balanced weight distribution of the venerable SV650. While providing a prominent visual accent that aligns with the clean, simple lines, it also contributes to agile handling and confident stability.
Suspension
The responsive 41 mm hydraulic telescopic front forks and compact, link-type monoshock rear damper have been tuned to achieve the ideal balance between sportiness and comfort. While favoring comfort, the suspension retains the sporty character and smooth, precise handling for which theSV650 earned acclaim. The result is a combination of everyday urban riding comfort and stability on the highway or circuit.
Brake System
Powerful 290 mm dual front discs with 4-piston calipers and a 240 mm rear disc deliver confident stopping performance, while the ABS supports balanced, controlled braking across diverse surfaces and conditions.
Note: ABS is not designed to shorten the braking distance. ABS cannot prevent wheel skidding caused by braking while cornering. Please ride carefully and do not overly rely on ABS.
Wheels and Tires
In addition to their eye-catching 10-spoke design, the stylish cast aluminum wheels for the SV-7S are color-coordinated with the body colors to draw further attention to their attractive styling. Dunlop ROADSMART III tires deliver superb grip, stability, and durability for confident performance.
Tapered Aluminum Handlebar
The SV-7S adopts a tapered 719 mm handlebar designed to deliver greater control and more natural hand position. The new handlebar provides a commanding field of vision and contributes to a relaxed, upright riding position in line with current riding trends. Both the handlebar and its brackets are finished in black, adding to the stylish, high-quality appeal of the SV-7S.
LED Mono-Round Headlight
Even while its modern design offers a bright, lively feel, the mono-round headlight’s nostalgic visual appeal pays tribute to the heritage of past SV650 models. To help ensure bright illumination, even during cornering, and a wide field of vision, development involved extensive light distribution testing and repeated fine-tuning to achieve a bright and optically efficient LED headlight suited to today’s roads.
Ergonomic Seat
With the same class-leading, rider-friendly 785 mm seat height as on the SV650, the SV-7S continues to make it easy to reach the ground without sacrificing long-distance riding comfort.
STCS - Suzuki Traction Control System
Suzuki’s traction control system continuously monitors front and rear wheel speeds, throttle position sensor, crank position sensor and gear position sensor, and quickly reduces engine output when wheel spin is detected. Engine output is controlled by managing ignition timing and air delivery to ensure smoother traction control operation. As a result, the rider can enjoy more comfortable long-distance riding, with less stress and fatigue.
SDMS - Suzuki Drive Mode Selector
Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) system allows the rider to select one of three fuel injection and ignition system maps (2 maps in the case of GSX-R750/600), adjusting power delivery to suit personal preference in various riding situations, such as different racetracks or tight, twisty roads. Selecting and switching between mode settings is by a switch on the handlebar; the selected mode setting is displayed on the tachometer. The feature helps the rider to enjoy the performance in a wider range of riding situations. * The technology is used in GSX-R1000, 750, 600, DL1050 and Hayabusa.
ABS - Anti-Lock Braking System
An electrically controlled Antilock Brake System (ABS) that produces stable braking force under various road surface conditions. The system helps avoid wheel locking when there is a sudden change in road surface during braking or when an excessive braking force is applied. The system monitors wheel speed 50 times per wheel rotation and matches stopping power to available traction. * Depending on road surface conditions, such as wet, loose, or uneven roads, braking distance for an ABS equipped vehicle may be longer than for a vehicle not equipped with ABS. ABS cannot prevent wheel skidding caused by braking while cornering. Please drive carefully and do not overly rely on ABS.
Easy Start System
On a normal motorcycle when starting the engine, the rider needs to press and hold the starter switch until the engine fires up. With the Suzuki Easy Start, all you need to do is one quick push of the starter switch, just like starting a modern car engine. The ECM recognizes the signals and keeps the starter motor working for a specified time.
Low RPM Assist
Low RPM Assist uses the ISC mechanism to help raise engine rpm slightly in launching and riding at low speed. This feature helps smoother operation when pulling away and when riding at slow speeds, this means it’s easier to pull away and easier to control the engine in stop-start traffic.
BI-DIRECTIONAL QUICK SHIFT SYSTEM
Bi-Directional Quick Shift System lets you shift up or down without the need to operate the clutch or throttle for seamless shifting. When activated, Quick Shift automatically interrupts power delivery just long enough to produce smoother, almost uninterrupted acceleration when you shift up. When decelerating, the system automatically opens the throttle valves just enough to increase rpm and match engine speed to the next-lower gear ratio.
RIDE BY WIRE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE SYSTEM
Not only is this new cable-free system simpler, lighter and more compact than a mechanical throttle, it provides light, natural, linear response to throttle operation. Precision control over throttle valve action, as realized by leveraging the onboard 32-bit ECM, also makes it possible to introduce other advanced systems that enhance riding ease and controllability.
